James McMicking

James McMicking is an executive aviation leader, passionate about harnessing technology and driving innovation to reduce the climate impact of flying and support the sustainable growth of the industry. Since 2021 James has been Chief Strategy Officer for ZeroAvia, responsible for strategic planning, program management, R&D funding, marketing and government affairs. Prior to ZeroAvia, James was Chief Strategy Officer for the Aerospace Technology Institute where he was part of the executive team to setup and establish the institute in its mission to drive UK aerospace technology strategy and a national R&D program worth £300m per year. He also worked in strategic consulting and automotive engineering during his 25 year career.
